These photographs allow Dr Carles to make an initial assessment of your nasal anatomy and better understand your concerns, particularly in cases of revision rhinoplasty or complex nasal deformities.
Which Photos Should You Submit?
Please provide 6 photographs, taken from the following angles:
- Front view: Face straight ahead, eyes looking horizontally, without tilting your head.
- Right profile: Turn your head exactly 90° relative to the camera. A true profile view should show only one eyebrow and one cheek contour, without any part of the opposite side of your face being visible.
- Left profile: Follow the same instructions for the opposite side.
- Right three-quarter view: Turn your face approximately 45°.
- Left three-quarter view: Turn your face approximately 45° in the opposite direction.
- Base view (from below): Tilt your head slightly backwards to clearly show your nostrils and the tip of your nose.
How to Position Your Head Correctly
Correct head positioning is particularly important for profile photographs.
- Look straight ahead, focusing on a point at eye level.
- Do not raise your chin or lower your head.
- Keep your head straight, without tilting it to either side.
- For profile photographs, make sure you are positioned exactly sideways, rather than slightly turned towards the camera.
Ideally, ask someone else to take the photographs, with the camera positioned at face level, not above or below it.
